Multiplayer Event: Portugal

On October 24, 2024, the closing conference of the BIOERA+ project entitled “Bioeconomy – The New Business Challenge” was held at the Auditorium of the School of Agriculture of the Instituto Politécnico de Beja. The event focused on the role of bioeconomy as a key opportunity for sustainable development and the future of business.

Invited speakers included:

  • Luis Roberto – sustainability expert, who discussed global challenges and opportunities for bioeconomics.
  • Fernanda Pereira – manager of the BIOERA+ project, presenting achievements related to the implementation of modern teaching methods.
  • Ludmila Machaieie – a student of the project, sharing her experience from the bioeconomics course at Mendel University in Brno.

The BIOERA+ project focuses on introducing flexible teaching methods and spreading the principles of a circular economy. The project organized international meetings where participants created new courses and educational programs, contributing to the development of bioeconomics in Europe.

The conference in Portugal provided an inspiring forum for the exchange of knowledge and good practices that motivates further sustainable development efforts.
